So now that BF2 has SOME enviroments that can be destroyed...mainly just those fences that you can destroy with explosives or just ramming it. wouldnt it be awesome if most of the walls in FH2 were destroyable? i would love to be holding a town and some tiger tanks just comes busting through a wall in the center of town. it would also be good as an infiltraiton technique. maybe make certain walls destroyable at flag choke points or something... who knows.
I would love to see something like this idea :) the more destructable stuff the better!
I've always loved blowing BF2 brigdes. Especially blowing them out from under tanks and such.:D
Interesting note: Blowing a brigde out from under a filled hummvee results in the driver getting TKs for every passenger in the vehicle, blowing it out from under an APC makes for an awesome set up for a really cool AT rocket amubsh, and blowing them out from under infantry is just funny for some reason.:lookaround:
What I'd really like to do though is strap up a heavily protected enemy's building supports with high explosives and show the germans "How we negotiate with fascist." Yeah I used a COD2 reference. Sue me.:lol:
what i would find awesome is that in some maps, theres 1 or 2 main routes to the enemy flag, but then theres that "extra" route you can access by blowing a hedgerow, wall, roadblock. etc. this would be great as it would add a mini battle as the allies try to open up that route while the axis has to devote a small team to defend said route. make the hp of the wall higher than the wooden fences in BF2 currently, so it cant be taken out with just a hand grenade. something along the lines of double a bf2 bridge's HP, something you need the sapper class to open. would be great and would remind me of natural selection (where you could weld a vent open/closed or weld a phase gate teleportation room open, oh man was that good times)
Devs already mentioned taht they will use objects with several destroyed variants to bigger extent than Bf2. And this would include destroying walls in strategic places.
Would love to be able to destroy walls off buildings like in COD, just incase a AT unit is up there waiting.
I do recall the Devs saying though, that the number of such objects in farily limited in the BF2 Engine, so we won't ever see destructable objects in exessive amounts.
Thats too bad, thats the 1 thing that kill realisme, you fire at a tree with a howitzer and nothing hapens to it.

I would really love to see all the wooden fences be destructable. Theres nothing as bad as a King Tiger being deflected by a fence on Breakthrough or a panzer 4 being boxed in by fences on Gold beach. All things willing (lag, coding issues, ect) I think the fences should be the first thing to go. It would be nice to see a heavy unit drive right through a wooden while they could still pose an obstacle or limited cover for infantry. In other words, a grenade should blow up a fence. Maybe break a cross piece or two but I don't think the game can get that specific. I'd just like to see something like an APC push right through a fence while a jeep could break through but not without taking some damage.
