just got a great idea - what if you could choose to deploy heavy machine guns / medium machine guns in different modes, one for prone where the legs are almost horizontal, one for crouched position, effective behind covers like walls, sandbags, windows, craters or other holes etc, and perhaps a third standing mode for AA use with aa sight (if applicable).

Awesome idea. I think some dev already stated that they looking into it.
But yeah, I suppose it would work with several different weapons, like with Bar1918.

Awesome idea!
You could have one for sandbag hight, the regular window high.. would make for really usefull deployment
excuse my spelling.. :/

well, i was generally meaning tripod modes, but ofcourse there could modes like w/wo outfolded bipod for lmg's and such
It would be a good idea if the MG didn't spawn itself half a mile away from you and your planned cover
Just compensate by standing a few feet behind that cover.
Why do deployed MG's clip trough statics btw?
Me likey, I love the tripod MGs, wish they would implenmete that. It should be optional hieght, using up and down arrows to raise and lower the height.
Yes, that would be nice. So would a realistic German tripod with the 4x(?) optics. You would be an easier target, but then again you would have a scope too.
maybe for like secondary fire. In real life, mthey used a periscope and a button that operated the trigger. THen, they could have the mg firing over a window, and they could not be seen.
