Well since you can sprint in BF2 and FH2 will implement it as well, it would be great if you can sometimes change the sprinting animations at random: for example you can have both hands holding the weapon towards the chest or even one hand holding the weapon down (DOD: S style) and the other hand clutching onto the helmut.
One animation is more than enough, animating seems to be a hard and lengthy process and the team may have a new animater, but i think weapons animations are much more important then making half a dozen spinting animations :p
Agreed. (with SnotVod) I don't really think it's such a big deal. However, I think the hand-on-gun-and-hand-on-helmet style run would be much more appropriate for the game than the regular two handed run.
It's also very hard to make a great looking animation without mocap (especially a running animation), don't expect custom animations to looks as good as BF2's own animations. At least it would surprise me if the devs could reach that level without mocap.
Actually some games are excluding motion capture as it's not all that precise as hand animatons too, still it requires team of professionals and alot of time to make realsitic hand made ones. And although the animator they got is realy good, I don't think that he would manage to make all these animations alone. First the new required ones as I guess.
i would like to see the helmet holding animation! would look just like the movies and really humanize the players. so you know...you get an extra satisfied feeling of shooting them. MUWAHAHAHAHHA
