Something I really would like to see is that your digital life is more worth then it is now. Nobody cares if they die in 15 secs you spawn back again and can join the fun. This cost you nothing more then one ticket. So how can you give life more value and still let people get in the fight quickly? I was thinking about the system used in BF2, for example of you hurt teammates you get negative points, bad for you score, so maybe it is an idea to punish your death with negative points? Nobody ikes to see a minus score in front of his name so perhaps they are more careful to waste it and starts to play smart.
Of course you always need to storm positions like Charlie sector and then it's very hard to stay alive and get a good kill-death ratio so maybe it isn't a god idea after all but what do you think about this idea?
Maybe you could display the kill to death ratio instead of the number of kills and deaths? I'm really a more arcadish player and I kill just a little more than I die, but I am practically always in the top 3 most deaths.
I would like to see that capturing flags would be more rewarding. Just 2 points isnt always worth the risk you're putting yourself in. I really think the whole point system is fucked up, it doenst really reward people with skills.

That would encourage camping a lot. Snipers, tanks drivers and pilots would always have the highest KtD ratios.

Now thats actually a good idea. Obviously it will make it difficult to distinguish TKers from just newbies, but whether you like the idea or not, it will definatelly put "value" on your life and not deing. You can even go further and make it so that if you die from an artillery, you dont get minus points. If you die from helicopter/plane, you get -1, if you die from armor/vehicle, you get -2, and if you die from infantry, you get -3.
I don't spend enough time here

I think a kill/death ratio would be a good idea . I play Forgotten Hope 2 or 3 hours a day on the WOLF server , and get 3-4 games in , and I'm usually in the top 3 in deaths and top 6 in kills.

Looks like an suggestion to me... :moved: from FH:GD to suggestions Ontopic: The idea doesn't sound too bad though it auto-kick should be disabled or maps like Omaha beach would end pretty quickly: CrazyGerman [MG42]USA soldier1 MoreCrazyGerman [MG42]USA soldier1 JustAGerman [MG42]USA soldier1 USA soldier1 kicked for minus score  Maybe you shouldn't lose a point for every life you lose but only if you manage to lose your life within X minutes after a respawn. So if you manage to keep alife for over 30 minutes you aren't punished but if you die within the first 5 minutes or so you do get punished for wasting your life. Ofcourse deaths by artillery and basecamping shouldn't count though. The general public probably will prefer the Kill to death ratio system, that would be fine with me also.
Ugh, punish a death? Then everybody would avoid dying, fights would just become standoffs. Charlie sector and a lot of other assault type maps would be really bad. Why does the life need to be extended?
Even better ideas! The difference in points by what killed you but also the stay in life x amount of time are godd ideas.
It shouldn't become a stand off of course and meatgrinder maps like Charlie sector are indeed, as mentioned, a pain. The goal of this is that people are more careful with their digital life. Now everybody, oops bit generalising, I meant a lot of guys, waste his and nobody, or not much, like death-match so this maybe is a nice solution inbetween.
Maybe we have to turn the idea around and not punish the guy dying but reward the guy staying alive x amount of time, actually this is way better, more positive. Already enough punishing going around will all those sadistic ;) team killer-punishers.
Btw it wasn't really meant as suggestion, or else I would putted it there, it's more that I want to know the opinion about this from other FH players....
well well well. all goods idea's to think about:o
