The only scripting I know is minumal, why not try this(providing that is is possible, which I think not): Make a folder with different uniforms, and in the map make a "script link" that opens up that uniform.

For instance: Battle of Bulge(exec=uniform['dirtywhore'])();

My post in this thread Either diaspeared or I forgot to hit Submit.

BF2 allows you to have multiple textures for each army, THe obvious example of this the US 'Woodland' and 'Desert' camo patterns on both players and vehicles. This is simply an option selcectede in the editor/.cons to determine what texture variant is applied to the model for that map. I see no reason why you couldn't add more texture variants and simply call them in the .cons.

We would still be left with only two types of dirty uniforms per army on one map, as there are only two types of models available for one side.

While were talkin dirty, I have a suggestion for the sound. Lets say your driving along in your kubel & end up eating the dirt & sand from the Pz2 in front of you so you start yelling, blowing the horn, & flipping the bird at em (Often wanted this movement as a key command for the bomber rolling in on you). Is there a way of making that lovely sound of sand being ground between your teeth incorporated in the sound after you say something in-game?:nodding: Anyone that can duplicate that sound would be an audio genius or one really dedicated FHer eating sand & playing on the synthesizer at the same time. Maybe during the briefing we can have a chalkboard with the squeaking piece of chalk to.:p

I think, more important than the level of cleanliness in a uniform is its level of wear. As Wolf pointed out, The knees and elbows of fatigues tend to fade fast, the fabric itself picks up sweat discoloration along the neck line and down the chest and back, Web belts/Gear should hang a little more slackly and not as primped up and inspection ready as the game generally makes it seem. Small touches like sleeves rolled up a bit to the forearm (when its hot soldiers roll their sleeves, they tend to slip back down to the center of the forearm though). Have the blouse over the boots (for soldiers without leggings) either hang over or at least look slack. Adding dirt to an otherwise perfectly fitting inspection uniform isnt in and of itself all that realistic. If any of the graphic artist need photos i got a shiat load of FTX and deployment photos of what tends to happen to uniforms after a few days where and a bit of combat either real or mock.

I was thinking more in terms of generic dirt. Not per theatre of war. i mean, soldiers slept in fox holes, on the ground, crawling on their belly, their uniforms as well as their skin should be a beat dirty, I thought... Slight tears here and there, slight fade, an a healthy amount of dirt...No?
