That's a good point but remember this was used in the Battle of Britain and neither the Hurricanes nor Spitfires carred any other ammo apart from their standard MGs. They had no cannons to fire explosive rounds.

Well you are a little saver there if you remain at a distanc from your enemy and have comrades to watch your back.

What about the flamethrower tanks? I wouldn't want to be near the large gastank they drag behind them as infantery!

I dunno what would be scarier, flying a plane that could burst into flames at the slightest spark, or flying a plane that could blow up at the slightest spark (the Me163) :micro:

i think it's scarrier that it can burst into flames. the flightcrew will catch fire to and burn to dead, if your planes explodes your dead instantly

i think it's scarrier that it can burst into flames. the flightcrew will catch fire too and burn to dead, if your planes explodes your dead instantly

But the Komet didn't have landing gear, so if it had to land, there was a good chance it would still blow up anyways. I'll stop posting here, I don't want this to get too off topic (just had to throw my leftover pennies into the fountain:))
