There seems to be so much unintentional TKing going on lately in FH2. Some kind of death message is needed to make the player aware that he`s doing it. Nearly every map is ruined by guys who sit in tanks and morters and spray the flagzones from afar while we are on it trying to cap.

Most of the time these players are totally oblivious ( with the exception of a few) to what they are doing and just carry on regardless for the whole map. A large `you have just team killed such and such` is needed to make them realise what they are doing. The console death msg`s are not the easiest to see when in game and when there`s a lot of action the msg stays for less than a second.

It would be a really good idea to have a msg displayed in the same way as if you make a proper kill but maybe in a different color. The worst part about it is no one except the regular players ever opologise for doing so these days. The whole game seems to have lost a certain feel to it since the comorose was changed and the please and thankyou option has been emmited.

If an FH2 server is not running the TK punish system then is nothing to make the player aware that he`s just TKed other than the console msg, which sadly is not obvious enough while ingame. If a player is concentrating and fighting he won`t be taking his eye off the action. I know I don`t allways see every single msg when in the heat of battle so I`m sure it`s the same for everyone else.

This is the `FH community` and to me a community should be a happy freindly place which is it to the most part, but when when you`re playing a game along side a couple of selfish gits who`s necks you want to ring there`s got to be a bit of a problem somewhere meeez thinks :uhoh:

Cheers all :)

Thankfully most of the Fh2 server are well admined. But .. yeah you can still find the occasional mindless tard. As an wholeIi find the FH community one of the most matured I' ve seen. Things will change offcourse when there is a new influx of players during the Normandy release, but hey we need the cannon fodder :D

I agree with Moose, teamkilling has become a real deal lately. As he said, most of the time, the teamkill message disappears way too fast and you do not even realise you killed a friendly before looking at your score and see a -4 (or worse).

It happens to everyone, of course, but it's quite annoying when someone keeps shooting on a flag with artillery or some vehicles, killing friendlies along with enemies (more confusing). Also, many people never check their targets, causing a lot of tks. Therefore, as the OP, I really miss the "sorry" and "thanks" taunts/radios, which were useful in that kind of situation too.

For people not apologizing, at first I thought it was contempt, but I realized that most of the time, it's simply that they didn't even notice they commited a teamkill.

I had a team member Firing a bofors on Crete, I walked by him and he saw me, but didn't stop shooting, so I went around where he wasn't firing then as I was capping He decided to fire into the flag area for no apparent reason. TK-ed and no flag.

Anyways I agree there should be something that shows up on screen for arty when they accidentally kill their own, either a bigger warning or some sort of audio clip warning him to stop. Sort of a "You're shelling your own" audio warning.

I think some servers removed the ability to punish and forgive when 2.15 was applied. I somewhat regret that. It was at least a message poping up telling you that you tked, in the kill confirmation screen, and that you've been forgiven or punished. Some people used this for punishment, but most of them were newbies. Almost nobody of the regulars made use of this. So, that was rather a way for direct communication between the players, but with "thanks" and "sorry" being removed it might have been handy to have kept it.

Oh, and I'd say there is some intentional teamkilling going on lately. I noticed situations in which people shot each other off a plane, gun or a tank. Some sort of duels were people already seem to attend each other with their rifles already leveled. And most of the time it involves some newbies.

It would be nice if TK's were displayed in a third color, but I imagine this is not possible to impliment.

In further news... this thread has far too many people in it that have killed me in FH2 the last day or two =p

Agreed...things have definitely got worse recently in the HSLAN server since the punish system has been disabled. For the most part players aren`t aware that they are TKing at the time, allthough there is certain selfish few who just don`t give a flying fluck as long as they attain a high kill score each round.

I have just been playing for an hour and half on Mersa and Alam and got TKed no less than 8 times, only twice did I get a `sorry`and both times it was from guys I know. The worst one was by some pilot straffing the flags that where in our possesion and crammed with friendly troops.

I did myself just make 2 TK`s with the bofors on Mersa. I saw 3 enemy running towards me so I jumped on it and gave them a quick burst killing all 3, it wasn`t untill about 5 minutes afterwards that I realsied I`d hit 2 friendlies aswell. I gave a belated `Sorry` which is all I could do but it would be nice to know that I had done it at the time. Most times I am aware when I TK but if theres several kills at anyone time it`s impossible to see the console msg with everything else going on.

We all do it from time to time that`s inevitable, but when players aren`t aware that they are making one after the other it kind of mars the gameplay somewhat. I`ve lost count lately of the amount of times my sqaud has been on a flag just to get blown away the last minute by some clueless team mate. Surely if we get a msg when we make a kill then there can be one for when a TK is made?

Cheers all :)

Sometimes there are also some weird zombie people in arty who zero in on every spot they get and start shelling without any common sense if its smart or not. For example a bad spot with friendly flag or empty desert. I just notice these when i'm in second piece of artillery.

I agree, very good idea. TK's should be displayed in a way to ensure a player is aware they did it. I have no way of knowing this but changing the font color seems like it would be easy enough to implement.
