Its a simple idea for FH2, really. There should be 3 "enemy tank spotted" quick chat option. One for heavy tanks (in case you see, say, a mathilda or tiger), one for medium tanks and one for light tanks.

It would be quite usefull, since a panzer II and a kingtiger do not pose the same level of threat, and do not require the same weaponry to defeat. A guy in a sherman, for example, would respond positively to light and medium tank sightings, but he will know that he won't be able to defeat an heavy tank. Players using heavier weaponry, like bombers and tank destroyers would also know were the real threats are. It would help getting better coordination in public servers. What do you think?

I think that when you spot something if u do it on a inf soldier it would say enemy medic spotted or enemy engineer etc... and for tanks and vehicles if u spoted a tank it would be enemy tiger spotted or enemy matilda spotted and they would actualy say the name, this i belive would be very easy to do for modders.

No this would be too complicated, especially if this mean adding different voice commands for every single vehicle in FH (there are A LOT of them). Besides, there would be more vehicules than "F" keys, so it wouldn't work. No I think differentiating the 3 main classes of tanks is enough.

Different voice commands would be the main problem I think, and you just press Q in BF2 to use the radio commands, its not the F keys anymore (although in some ways I mmiss them).

In BF2, when you use the q-spot on a tank, The guy says "enemy tank spotted", when you use it on a apc.. take a guess :p

So maybe the devs can just assign the light/med/heavy designations to vehicles so it shows up automaticly, and maybe even add different map icons for them.

I didn't know that they changed it in BF2, but it would be even better this way :lookaround:

You still have the option to spot from a list, even tho its sorta awkward (hold q and scroll trough a list) for if you happen to loose visual contact. But the q+click takes a split second when you get used to it.. So.. yeah, its better :p

I am not sure that is possible.. i mean, you can spot, but its going to be like in bf1942, meaning its not very usefull. Only your player arrow flashes, and people get a radio message. Its not very specific.

In BF2, when you point at and spot something using q, people get a radio message, your player arrow flashes, AND the enemy unit appears on your minimap for a short time. Like in the picture.. Currently you can "choose" what to spot.. but as i said earlier, that takes forever using q+mouse scroll+click. You can also just q+click on a random location, and the message will be "enemy forces" and a questionmark will appear on the minimap.

Anyways.. maybe a bf1942 com system isnt possible.. maybe the devs know.

It is possible and is easy. This is a very good idea.. I do like it. It will give more specifaction of what kind of tank it is. If not we can just creat Icons on the minimap and see what kind of tank it is by what it looks like.
