ya but bf2 has only one tank class
Komrad_BNo this would be too complicated, especially if this mean adding different voice commands for every single vehicle in FH (there are A LOT of them). Besides, there would be more vehicules than "F" keys, so it wouldn't work. No I think differentiating the 3 main classes of tanks is enough.
At this point, all ideas would be for FH2, not FH0.7. Therefore, there could be unlimited voice commands (that is if the team can find the voice actors for them).
Here's how I think it would work: you see an enemy tank, and you use the spotted thing and place it over the enemy tank. If it's say a Tiger, the voice command would say "heavy tank spotted"; if it were a Panzer II, then it'd say "light tank spotted", etc.
I didn't make it!
Komrad_BFH2 won't be like BF2. Heres an example : You spot a Kingtiger, instinctively, you say "Enemy tank spotted!". Being the Komrad_B that I am, I would say "Roger that!" and get there with my Sherman and obviously get killed since a sherman is worthless in most situations agaisnt heavy tanks.
Maybe you need to go about your ways with more teamwork. Instead of rushing out. Becuase what alse our you going to take down a tiger with? The sherman is all you got.

Point is, if you know what sort of a tank it is (light, medium, heavy), you will respond in different ways anyway.

This is exactly why I want to know what I am fighting. You don't need much teamwork to fight a Panzer IV or Stug usually, a simple flanking manoeuver with even a sherman will usually spell their doom. However, if someone tells me a Kingtiger is on THIS road, I will be much more careful and coordinate my efforts on ventrilo with other friendlies.Becuase what alse our you going to take down a tiger with? The sherman is all you got.
What about shooting in the Tiger's tracks with a M36 or Firefly, killing it in one shot?
Ask for friendly pilots to drop a bomb or rocket?
Jump on its engine and throw a 'zook :cya:
The Sherman is weak agaisnt Tigers, especially Kingtigers. Tigers are less problematic since you can kill them relatively quickly by shooting at the threads, but Kingtigers are almost invulnerable to Shermans. It is better to let the big guns and planes handle these, while shermans should concentrate on supporting infantry and attacking positions.

I should hire him as my coach, we can see the wisdom of years of experience when he speaks.
I wouldn't like this, as on the battlefield in WWII, G.I. Joe is not going to know that the tank that just roared over that crest is a Panzerkampfwagen IV ausf H (mit schurzen), he's just going to know it's shooting at him. Even experienced tank crews had no idea what they were shooting at in battle.
So no, I think 'look out, tank!' represents the chaos of battle on the radio better.
Meadow has a point here, i kinda have to agree about this. at least it should not be to specific with just "heavy tank" and "tank"
I think it would be very realistic if you scream "Tiger incoming" instead och "Enemy Heavy tank spotted" when you spotting a vehicle... Imaging what they where screaming to each other on the battlefields in 1942, I'm quite sure that it wasn't "Heavy tank"!
For me, it would be great to hear the name of all the tanks you spot. I learn all the names pretty fast when I started with FH, so I don't think that the Noobs would loose so much for it, and by the way, wouldn't a noob place his Sherman right in front of the Kingtiger even if he knew how dangerous it where or not??? :P
I really like this idea. With every positive post it seems more possible. I hate it when I'm in a BT7...hear: Enemy tank spotted! and think: I can get behind him with me speed and shoot him up the rear. Then I arrive on the scene within seconds and 2 panthers, 2 tigers, an elephant, a PanzerIIIM, and 3 Panzer IVHs are there. They see me and hit me once, I'm toast. We want GOOD spots! We Want GOOD spots! We want GOOD spots! Hey, come chant with me...!
