torenico;4364067What is the Tannu Tuva language. and free city of danzig doesnt have any tank, against german heavy army, no way!

They spoke Tuvan in Tannu Tuva and the forces of the Free City of Danzig used AGDZ armored cars. Also, the Danzig government was taken over by Nazis in the 1930's, and Danzig forces fought alongside the Germans in 1939. So they wouldn't be fighting Germans ;)

All 3 countries that I listed really did exist, and really did have armed forces.

Snipermanic;4360842didn't the Sweeds have 'volunteers', in Sweedish uniforms fighting in Norway... and the Norweigians didn't even use helmets

I don't think any "army" volunteers went to Norway, but some resistencefighters got swedish equipment and training in the border regions. Some people went just over the border to help refugees to the swedish side. About the helmets, I have no idea. BTW: Lots of volunteers went to Finland with swedish equipment. :nodding: Hi Lobo! :cya: You are my god! :bows:

Just found this thread - I mean.. Where there really other factions than the nazis(!) and the americans in ww2? Cool! I want the danish army too!

And srsly, some variety is fine, but as playermodels and skins, maybe speach packs would be needed for each new country, imo it's a this state more appropiate to finish the necessary work for the normandy patch and africa - i.e. yankees, german uniforms used in europe, some work on the italians for the africa maps. Everything else is tertiary atm.

radical_the_ark;4364621 About the helmets, I have no idea.

Well, i do. The Norwegian "Workers party" government had begun "the broken gun" policy in the beginning of the 1920's. So by the end of 1939, Norway armed forces were non-existent. The Home Guard, which did most of the fighting for Norway in 1940, consisted of volunteers, with nearly no training.

Anyway, since Norway military was basically gone, weapons broken/destroyed and every form of equipment sold. The Norwegian soldier in 1940 was lucky if he even had a full uniform. Normally, one guy would get a uniform trouser, the next would get a jacket, the next a cap. And so fort. Helmets, we had none at all!

Meadow;4364222Unfortunately, the only thing that would thus really distinguish them would be voice commands, which are among the trickiest things for a mod-team to make. So no, I wouldn't put money on it. Let's see if we even get the Americans in the first release! ;)[/quote]

Depending on the equipment, playing as the Canadians could be quite fun.

Didn't the Norwegian resistance eventually produce its own weapons (as the Poles did), or am I confusing it with another Scandinavian nation?

The Poles had a whole underground network of supplies, food, guns, uniforms etc. Everything needed in Warsaw, untill well... The Russians let them take a beating from the Germans, and then invaded.

Oh, I know they did, and it went well beyond basic weaponry :). Not to mention working judicial and educational branches, etc. etc.

I was asking whether the Norwegian resistance conducted clandestine weapons manufacture as well, or was that in another Scandinavian country.
