MEDICS! I would love to see medic kits on the most map ground. I just found brilliant medic system from other mod, that kind system would be nice on fh2. YouTube - Project Reality 0.8 BETA gameplay Medic Kit M4 with scope YeaH, FH2 is own mod and devs try to make their own solutions, but that system would fit on fh2. Transport points and repairpoints. Is it possible to code system, that gives points to player, that transports more than 2 troops(or something like that, in time like 1minute of transporting)? That would cheer up transporting own forces to battlefield and adds more teamplaying. I have seen players that takes truck, speeds up and go away, even there are players minded to get in. Also repairpoints should be improved, like player gets 1point per 10sec repairing(this is example) Lmg's recoil and fishflopping In my opinion lmg's (like bren) should have more recoil fired on stand or crouch(especially whitout sights) and little recoil when fired on ground. I would love to see those heavier guns much weaker in closecombat than they're now. And also i would love that, fishflopping whit mg34 would be disabled, that would cheer up using sidearm instead of mg34 in closecombat(it would take few secs to make mg34 able to fire on ground). Here's my suggestions, some of these might be already discussed(fish flopping)
So let me get this straight, you will need to give the wounded CPR before you use the miracle-dope on them? That does sound good to me. But for FH2, I think it should take longer (yeah, LONGER) and only way to heal to max would be if the medic would spend all of his first aid bandages on you... which is useless because there are plenty of those needing the first aid so they can return to fighting... I wouldnt mind a medic kit (pick up, gents, pick up) to be a bit more powerful. He could have a different weapon depending of the nation in question. Pistols for self-defense for yanks and most likely for the british aswell. I dont know how did the german, russian or japanese medics armed themselfs... but finnish medics usually had a simple service rifle with them because otherwise the potential fighter would be a waste in the situations the finns were at.
Once again, I wouldnt mind seeing more depth for the medic class... but I could live without medics. I honestly like the idea of having a longer time spent with the wounded so it wouldnt be magic-defib's deal.
Thing is tho, I dont want the "revived" to be like they were before they got hit. Im all in for giving them a penalty such as blurry vision and/or unable to sprint because I dont think there should be any credit for getting shot in the first place.
I know a lot of people (especially the devs) are against the medics, but I for one would like to see some sort of improvements in this class aswell... currently it serves nothing else than picking it up in Sfakia if you hate using a rifle and all rapid-fire weapons are taken... =p
I think the engineering rewards are being tweaked for 2.15, also, I think the repairtimes are being reworked aswell...
Driver points would be a nice addition. I love to taxi troops to frontlines in a truck or whatnot but not many people seem like doing. I wouldnt mind getting points for driving people around but I dont know if it would improve peoples teamwork when it comes to transporting folks. Nothing is more waste than speeding away in that vehicle that has 7 passenger positions! MMM M! And then you wonder why on earth your team loses by sitting at the base? ;)
Cant remember correctly if the Bren has been changed in any way when fired from standing. But fishflopping is something I would love to see gone, but unfortunately there seems to be no way around this. :(
No, just no on the medic suggestion. The guy gets shot in the head and you can heal him back up? Anyway, a medics job should be to heal injured people, not take people back from God.
If medics were to be made of higher use in BF2, my suggestion would be to remove bandages from all classes but the medic class, and make the medic class spawnable. That means, if you're bleeding you can't heal yourself, you HAVE to find a medic. And when the medic gives you a bandage, he gets a point. The medic class would on maps like sfakia get the pistol, and on maps like alam halfa get a rifle, I think would be fair, however only knife, rifle/pistol and bandages.
Hell, I'm glad FH2 did away with the revive system. You only get revived 1/10 times anyway, I'd rather be spectating.
I would like to try proper medics for FH2 if I am honest. I think they could work out if limited to pick-up kits and if they are rather gimped in terms of fighting ability and the lengthy process when they revive someone.
And I have no idea if BF2 has any identification where and how did the soldiers got shot to. Like in example, if you get shot in the head... you wouldnt need a medic... Or if you get blown up... or shred by machinegun fire, I think in those cases there should be no hope at all to revive the fallen. Instead limp and stomach shots should cause the soldier to be incapacitated and therefore medics could try and revive them if they make it before they die.
Find it hilarious in BF2 when you get blown up in the sky by a huge explosion, land on a rooftop and then fall off to the street and then a medic comes along and revives you. :p
Ah well I would like to try medics out if they could only revive people that were shot in the limps or stomach with anything "smaller" than a LMG/MG.
Actually Flippy/Kev, even in BF2 vanilla being blown up by 'huge explosions' or run over by a tank stops you from being revived. In PR, a headshot, .50 cal round or otherwise fatal bullets also kill you. Remember, their system is not 'you're coming back to life', as you haven't died yet - the medic is frantically tending to your wounds and getting you combat ready again.

Ahhaa, great! Thank you very much for clearing this out for me Meadow. I have only a couple of hours of BF2 vanilla or any other mod (minus FH2) behind me so I didnt know of this... But I do remember of being catapulted up in the air by commander arty and then landing first on the rooftop, then tumbling down to the pavement, second later a medic revived me. This was in BF2 vanilla.

I m against any medic thing that lets you revive people. i think the current system is ok If you get hit by a bullet (and survive) you take your bandage to stop the bleeding (and heal a little) and the continue fighting. there are only 3 states in FH2 : Alive Wounded DEAD
and the Wounded part is very small and most times you will end up in the DEAD and not wounded. What i mean is IF a soldier gets hit in combat chances that he can continue fighting are very slim, most times we wont be able to fight anymore, ingame this is what we call DEAD, unless you wanna lie around in the battlefield and wait for a medevac and then wait another few weeks until the wound is healed and you can continue fighting.
i prefer small wound = bandage big wound = incapable = counts as DEAD

Getting shot is almost ALWAYS fatal. The fact of being revived and turning into some super hulk is completely dumb and unrealistic. The current way is fine with me.
Yeah, it may be unrealistic.. but it could be fun, there's other unrealistic issues so it wont be so bad thing IMO.
