Gauntletwell...then have more static AT defence, like canons defending the mainbase.

Which will be the first thing to be taken out by any smart tanker from a distance. And i am not talking about instances when those AT cannons can hit the tank. I am talking about instances when the tanks will be right inside the base/flag. You know what this will lead to? People will be jumping on top of the tank to avoid being killed by the tank. Ohhh, this is great realism, when the enemy soldiers climb on top of the tanks and sit drinking tea on top of it

Could there not be some way of modding it so you can jump on top of tanks and throw a grenade into the crew? I assume with most maps this will rarely happen, you will hardly ever get that close but its a nice alternative and makes every infantryman with a grenade deadly against a tank in urban terrain. Also quite simply, camoflauge the static AT positions. The Wehrmacht was infamous for its ability to cover and conceal its AT weapons, especially the SS units in Normandy and the Bocage. Some foliage around the 88's, or position them so they don't make a standout silhouette against the sky.

good idea with the at gun camo, but the one with the grenades is bad since anyway on battles with tanks like 40% run around with bazooka or 60% with k98 and panzerfaust-- tanks are allready vulnerable enough against infantery.

Yeah but the danger AT infantry pose is negated by the short distance of the weapon. They're only dangerous in wooded areas, or in buildings which as a tanker I would have thought people would avoid anyway. I mean why would you take a flag in a tank? Thats just asking to be blown up with a faust in your arse. I see your point though, sometimes the number of fausts on a team is stupid. I know they were fairly common weapons but for everyone to have one bar one person is pushing it a bit.

give every 10th soldier or so a Faust instead of nades. Or make it possible for certain classes or vehicles to "hand out" Fausts.

Why put down static AT guns? The tanks will now where all of them are after the first time they play that map? How bout ones that can be dragged by a car, or pushed by infantry into a new spot that they feel is the best. Well still have problems with people putting them in the same spot as they usually do. Then when the tanker respawns hell go back to that same spot and blow him up.

I realy do think you will have closed your hatch (and locked it) if you were an tank commander in a battle situation.

That makes me wonder: Could a grenade placed on the track blow of the track of an tank?

No way. Sometimes tank tracks would becoem disconnected due to mud and rough terrain. Also if a tank hit it right there. Or some of the sticky bombs. No matter what grenade though, wont knock a track off a tank.
