Keeps this crap for PM's and the Melee section please.

After playing PRM, i must admit i am slowly fading to the no-hit indicators side too, especially for infantry and tanks, i am still not sure how this while fit in AA though.

Real-BadSeedwell you're one of the few then..

i vote no! for compensating lousy connections or slow cpu's. i.e HD's

Ditto. In fact, very strongly so. Bad tech? Tough love, life ain't fair. I'm on minimum 260ms almost anywhere I play, and I deal, no sympathy.

As for hit indicators, i guess I'd like to see them go, period, if hits can be registered more realistically (i.e. more varied death animations, injury animations, stuff flying off targets, etc.) like you'd have in real life. At long ranges you couldn't expect someone to actually see the target, but at short ranges you'd want that. No matter how much I ribbed RBS about it before, sometimes you just won't see that you hit the dude. Period.

Lol Strurmtrupp is awesome. I was in total agreement with his rant on the last page. The only reason I back no HI's is I know they can be abused because I've abused them. And it does make the game feel more like a point-click affair videogame than when you didn't have them. (Your attention is on the 'near HI instead of the 'far' world)

I too played PRMM (albeit briefly) and didn't have a lot of problem without the hit indicators. McGibbs, don't soldiers flinch when hurt (server side) in BF42 and BF2? Either way, the only time they were really needed was the broken air combat hit detection. Hopefully that crutch will no longer be forced on us and we can enjoy a more direct, uncluttered game.
