SoujiroSometimes you come across a dirt mound that stop tanks and jeeps. It's almost acting like a tree in that sense.

Or even worse with the panzer 738's on 'thatdarnfranceinvasionmapwiththecasteicannotremember' where the tank will drive *backwards* when you press left.

That's because of how FH's tanks are coded. When you turn a one man tank it makes the inside track go backward and the outside track go forward. And it's certainly possible for the backward track to have traction and the forward track to slip. Thus you go straight back!

That finish mod had a dedicated driver where W/A/S/D controlled both tracks independantly and once you got the hang of it you were really driving those tanks like a pro without the backward problem. <3

Would be ok if I were not driving without problems before. I was driving forward and as soon as I als hit left, backwards.. not turn, backwards. Just seemed to be on even the slightest elevations.

I'd love that system, honest. Would it also be possible to make tanks shake less. I feel like I am some jack-in-the-box instea of a tank.

Yeah httas especially annoying in PRMM when zoomed in on the tank sights. The slightest shake can throw the tank shell off by feet-meters.

Yeah, I was about to say shooting on the move and gunner is way to silky smooth now in FH, not the other way around.

No no thats not what I meant. I meant how you will be completly still in BF2 but the slightest bump in terrain makes your tank jitter around as if it was so light you could pick it up. 1942 didnt have this problem.

Oh yeah that. That's the netcode being nervous about collision detection with the ground. It happens in BF1942 as well.
