ooo... another thing that could be implemented... on big bombers (especially B17) in FH42, at a certain amount of hits, engines would catch fire but the plane would not explode... now could there be a button u could press to like hit the extiungishers? (yes B17s did have engine extinguisher charges). so like if u have 1mm of health... u could hit the charges and it gives the plane enough health for the fires to stop. (and yes this idea is also for FH2... i realize that FH42 is not taking suggestions anymore.)
Isn't it getting a bit too complicated now? I'm all for realism but FH2 isn't supposed to be a simulation but rather a realismoriented actiongame, right? Some "simulation" features would be nice but I can imagine how it would play out atleast for me if say my plane catches fire:
"Crap! Which button do I have to press now!? Was it red button then blue button? Or was it the yellowbutton first?.....KABLAM! -Frenkan had a nervous breakdown and disintegrated into 1075 pieces in the air
The extinguisher that gives back health can work, but there is nothing preventing the pilot from using it anytime he wants to regain health even without burning.
yeah you dont want much in the way of simulation features. would probably just take up space in FH, and its not like FH needs to be any bigger lol
It would be great on ships certainly. I'm a fan of the idea of crucial areas to hit, etc Hit turrets of a battleship with a big bomb = Big Boom. It could be that if a certain place was hit on a ship a fire starts and a section of the ship becomes an inferno (Would suck if it was the Landing craft part lol) An extinguisher could then put it out. Outside of ships I'm not sure.

@Hartmann: the Wellington currently catches fire when burning really badly. How about an extinguisher that can only help a bomber regain the bottom ~5% of its health (i.e. put out the fire and remove the risk that a single MG round will put it out of its misery?)
As far as I can tell, this should be possible by adapting the FW35 code, whereby the flame thrower can only regain ca. 30% of its ammo from an ammo crate/truck?
