Okay, today I went to a site a visit everyday and found a map I wanted to download for one of my favorite games. When I went to download its telling me "Blahblahblah Connection refused". First time I tried downloading something on this laptop with the following specs: Windows 2000 Professional 32.7 GBs space 650 MB RAM 1.6 Ghz proc. GeForce 4 Wireless internet connection vie satilite I have looked all over and have found no third party firewalls, yet I can't find the internal one, if one exists at all. Some other problems downloading have made me suspect something along the lines of having a firewall, but I can't be sure. Any ideas or help?

With a few other things, I tried a P2P network to test it, and it still gives me a similar error saying that it refused to connect.

Do you have a firewall installed on the laptop? Does your router have P2P ports blocked? Is your internet connection configured properly on your laptop? Perhaps you should try updating your OS to the latest service pack (with Windows Update) because Windows 2000 has six of them (I think) that fix lots of issues.
