Today I played bf2 1.0 after formatting and installing Vista. Apart from the much better sounds in 1.0 vs. crappy 1.41 sounds, the canadiens has also messed up the vehicle system.

In 1.0 all vehicles was fine, the shells/mg was actually shot from the barrels/turrets. In the canadian version (1.41) of battlefield, the projectiles take off from midair (=middle of the hud) instead of where they really should be. For example, M1 abrams mg/shells take off from the left side of the turret, where the actual hud is, instead of the turrets.

So will vehicles in FH2 actually shoot from the turrets/barrels, or will it be the messed up middle-of-the-hud version?

There are sound differences? I'm a real stickler for things like that and I never noticed it. How are they different?

Yes, the sounds are a lot better in 1.0. They have removed and replaced a lot of sounds. Heck, even a TOW and tank turret turning noise was changed, or a missile bursting through air sound was removed too.

And the APC sounds really has balls in 1.0, more closer to PR style, but even better than in PR, very realistic. That is for LAV, BTR sound was also different and much better. Or engine sounds for tanks etc, they ruined everything, the canadian suckers.

And snotvod, no I'm not in the beta. A lot of my clanmates are, though.

Heh, they had time to alter decent sounds but not enough time to fix the red name tag bug or actually balance the game a little? Figures.

It's the canadian way of fixing things up.

Yeah, I would say it's the E(Dice)A way of fixing things up.

Even if Dice Canada was the one in charge of patches, it's only because the money-hungry heads of EA and Dice wanted Dice Sweden to get to work on their latest cash cow in the franchise (BF2142).

Dice Canada could have been located in Bangladesh for all it mattered and it wouldn't have made a difference.
