it's really making the game much realistic.... any way to do it?tanks , jeeps and planes seemed to have unlimited fuel ....in most games...

for plane, you might say, lol the map is so small for them to run out of fuel...i think so too...but adding it bring more realism?

i agree with you, very unrealistic for vehicals of any type not to run out of fuel, especially tanks, wich went through so much gas most times they had to be left behind due to suply shortages, i think that each type of vehical should have a gas guage and each vehical whether its a tank or a truck should have a set limit of gas and how much gas is used, of course jeeps and rucks would last longer then tanks but it would add alot of realisme to the game, another good thing could be to use those static barrels of oil actully become in a way gas stations instead of just being there for show.

Maps only last 30 minutes to an hour so I'm not seeing why fuel would be an issue to begin with.

Cause the maps represent a larger battle usually, that lasted quite a bit longer. Usually, a tank or aircraft needed a wee bit longer than 30 seconds to reach the frontline.

Old, much discussed topic. Dealing how much fuel you need is too much in the giggleweeds for my tastes. How long do most people last in vehicles anyways? IMHO not necessary.

Yes, it would. Battles are scaled-down versions of the real battles (only 64 soldiers instead of tens of thousands, for example).

I think all vehicles should have fuel. Then have supply trucks, depots, and the likes re-supply fuel. The Tanker or Engineer classes could carry around fuel cans, too.

But that scale is different from map to map. Even though all battle last 30-60 minutes in FH time, the actual ones lasted from a few hours to several days. So unless the fuel rate was altered on a map by map basis, you still won't be simulating fuel consumption to scale.

if the game got that realistic id start modding it:o maybe on BOTB or something have fuel like an objective and once they cap the fuel they can use KT's or something. But the whole refueling thing would take like 5 minutes out of the game just so ucan backtrack and refuel... man thatd be a snooze

The problem is that unless you put an 88 mm cannon on top of that fuel truck nobody is going to putt around the map the whole round refuling you guys. This sort of feature would only be good for coordinated clan matches. Not the run-around-like-a-headless-chicken pub matches. However, I do think it would work in clan-only battles so maybe have it as a "game mode" or whatever.

Totally agree, the fuel idea does not seem to really fit in to the game as it is. God I remember the last (?) time this was brought up, I get tired just thinking how long the discussion went on, reading all those pages of differing views on the same subject... ugh. anyway, the arguments that I have seen for the inclusion of fuel as a gameplay feature (in this post at least) dont seem to make that much sense: "add fuel for realism's sake, after all the battles themselves are not realistic; they are scaled down. Therefore, logically, vehicles would run out of fuel more rapidly in this microcosmical representation."
