The same reason it's called Vanilla Half Life, to differentiate the bf1942 "mod" from the game Battlefield. (Look in the mods folder, bf1942 is there ;) ) We're all playing Battlefield when we play FH, we just aren't playing the Vanilla mod. I agree that making APC/ Trucks needed for ammo isn't the best use of them. They should be ammo/kit/special weapons centers for outposts without boxes. Spawn points even :D
HELLLOOOO! thats where the supply trucks come in
Vanilla didnt have supply trucks
BTW why is it called vanilla BF?
Smooth BMMy problem with reducing ammo for weapons is that it will basically turn the mod into vanilla BF in the sense that every 2-3 minutes people will have to go reload ammo for their rifles or MG's at some supply box. Trying to fix the problems by promoting the use of trucks/APC's for supply on this small of a scale is unrealistic. I also don't see MG/SMG whoring as the huge problem everyone else seems to have with it, but maybe I'm just crazy.
It's called vanilla because it's plain/regular.
ohh ok, i always wondered why people used vanilla, rather then regular lol

how is it unrealistic? anyways, since we obviously have conflicting views, i guess its up to the Gods themselves to decide, the FH team:bows: i have something else that kinda bugs me, (i still have .65, dont know if this has changed or not, but, the howitizers should pretty much kill an type of tanks in 1 or 2 hits. In erhnam (however its spelled) it takes 3 or more shots to kill tanks and point blank range. its artillery, that stuff is meant to go through concrete bunkers...
I didn't make it!
1) Tweak the jeeps/command cars/etc. so they can actually climb a hill 1a) Some of the armored gunsights have the appearance of an overprinted photocopy, blurred reticles etc. At range most targets disappear behind the crosshairs. Crisp optics would further enhance this great mod. 1b) The turning radius (at speed) of some of the 6 wheeled vehicles (can't remember which right now) seem to be hundreds if not thousands of feet. Allow high speed/"too tight of turn" rollovers in the physics if need be. Some of these vehicles have the turning raduis of a supertanker. 1c) Aircraft responsiveness: Don't want any crazy capabilities here, but some fighters seem to lumber excessively in turns.
