First of all I would like to say hi as this is my first post on these forums. I have had this idea for a long-long time and I just had to post it somewhere so here goes... Basically I would like to see the commander select the equipment used during the round. If by default the map has 2 tigers, the commander could choose to replace them with (for example) 3 panzer 4's, a number of transport vechiles or AA guns, a scout plane, increased number of handheld AT guns, the ability to reduce the spawn time of friendly troops by 5 seconds (or whatever ammount of time would be balanced) and so on... Capturing different flags could give the commander different choises(for example, capturing the airfield should give access to the planes, obviously) That way the commander could choose between many different ways of leading their team to victory and it would certainly add more variety to the game as tank maps could turn into intense infantry maps and vica versa... Hopefully this will also force the team to follow commanders strategy and therefor encourage teamplay. All of the descisions that the commander can make should be balanced and this probably cannot be achieved by the first release of the feature. There shouldn't be one ultimate startegy strategy that allways wins the map. If the commander chooses to replace all of the planes, transport vechiles and AA guns with tanks, then the enemy commander could easily win by having a few stukas... Of cource this could be greatly abused(mutiny votes when the commander doesn't give one the desired spitfire, commanders giving themselves a king tiger and so on...) but I believe that these problems can be solved(for example by locking all/some of the vechiles for the commander) There, I got this of my chest, I hope my english makes sense and that I will still be alive by the end of the day

That would be a fantastic feature, but i´m 99.99 % sure none of those features will be possible at all.

I don't think this sounds impossible compared to some of the other features they are adding. Time consuming, yes, no way this could make it into any of the first releases but I don't think its impossible. Then again I know very little of coding, so maybe I should just shut up but it seems that i cant...

The only thing i could imagine possible is usung the commander vehicle drop feature to drop small vehicles and AT Guns with a parachute.

The spawn on flag capture is already in FH1, so thats gonna bei in FH2 hopefully.

From what I've heard, the BF2 engine is actually less flexible than the BF1942 engine for modding, the only reason more complex features can be implemented is because existing code is used to create different effects. I really doubt these features could be implemented, although they're nice ideas :) (Possibly relying too much on the average player, which I don't hold much trust in). Still, I'm not a coder either, you'd need someone like Ctz or Hartmann to give you a real response.

Well as I imagined it, commander could simply choose which vechiles spawn out of thin air (as they do now) in which base. Is that hard to code, it sounds relatively easy compared to some other stuff FH team is doing. (Just asking, no flame intended.)

I imagine it MAY be possible to code a vehicle spawning at a position, but I don't see how you could choose what kind of vehicle ...

Perhaps you could implent it in the say way as a soldier picks a weapon, the commander can chose to select a vehicle.

Yup, players themselves are the weakest part of the idea. As for the commander doing nothing, I think there should be one default setting for every map, if the commander is too lazy to change it then it won't effect the team(well at least not that much) It would probably be a good idea to not allow commander remove everything without adding something in its place - to avoid asshats
