Today I was practicing a little with the grappling hook and I noticed that if you throw it, it's gone. You can't throw the same hook twice (or I don't know how to pick it up after I have thrown it).
For realism, it would be nice if you COULD throw it twice, as in reality, a soldier trying to mount a wall and missing the top edge, with the hook falling down in the sand in front of his feet would try again and not leave the hook.
It could be made like the Lafette/Vickers. After you have exited it, it becomes part of your kit again.
NOTE: if I'm mistaken, and the possibility to pick it up is already there (and I'm just too stupid to find it), please just delete this.
press g on the rope.
OK, thanks guys. Me st00pid :bawl:
(This can be deleted now, sorry for the inconvenience)
Another one who never played super awesome Special Forces.
Also helpful: Tap your alternate fire key (Default is Right Mouse Button, I believe) and you will drop the hook at your feet and toss the rope. Useful for climbing down off a roof, or climbing out a window. Note that you can actually fit through windows that you normally couldn't if you use the grappling hook instead of jumping.

Exagurating a bit now aren't we? :)
Special Forces was pretty good. It simply lacked polish and finishing touches - the Rebels and Insurgents were EXACTLY the same army, as were the Spetsnaz and MEC Special Forces (asiding from the AK47 for the medic and lack of grenade launcher, but that was only because the SEALs had no grenade launcher either). Giving the rebels and insurgents AK47s instead of 101s and perhaps 107s to the Spetsnaz would have been a nice touch, but they only modeled the 'cool' modern weapons. Some of the maps were great fun, though - Mass Destruction and Surge were amazing with the right players, and the Iron Gator had its moments as a superb infantry battle.
I agree with Meadow here. SF had it's fun and I enjoyed it while I played it. I got my money's worth with the fun. :)
Ziplines ftw! ^^
What class has the grappling hook? And on what maps?
