Hi, you might remember me. But I have a new problem, I am now trying zero hour (command and conquer) and when I try to just start the game, a technical difficulty error message comes up and says that I have a serious problem and it could be that I have a virus, but I have the latest mcafree software and it is activated, overheated hardware, I guess I have as many fans as everyone else. or I have hardware that is not meeting the minimum requirments, but I have gotten it to work before and I was playing it, I have no idea what I did to make it work, I guess my computer decided I deserved it that day, I don't know. I have heard that this is just a game problem. If so, can I get a download or a patch to fix this? Thanks.
ok, was your generals installed on a second Hard drive or on the same drive where you have your Operating system installed?

I did'nt install my own xp, so I am assuming it is installed on my first drive which is my cd- writer. I also have a dvd play also. Sorry. been away for alittle.
did you make a custom install setting changes or just keep hitting next till it was down? If you just hit next until it was done then its on you C: with your operating system. If this is the case then unistall the game and make sure all files for the game wich should be in C:Program File\EA Games\CnC\Generals Zero Hour and delete the Zer Hour folder, then turn off your anitivirus if you have one and reinstall.
The Serious Error problem is a well known issue for C&C. It has to do with a file it cannot locate. Defragmenting your drive or reinstalling the game will help the gamefind the file.
yeah i had that problem when my program was on my secondary drive. once i installed it on my main one i had no more problems
