FH needs more hull down positions! This would be crucial on maps like kursk, many of the russian maps taking place on steppe terrain, desert maps, and even some normandy maps and western Europe maps. For anyone who doesn't know what hull down is, it's when your tank is in a position where only the turret is showing to a target at a certain direction, this makes you a much smaller target and the enemy may not even notice you, it would also help tanks with high shilouettes (sp?) like the Stuart, the T34/85, and sherman group, as it would lower it to enemies.

agreed. Many maps need ha-go style hardpoints. They would own as base defences.

No, he means a place to "dig in" a tank (like that one map in DC where there's big ass foxholes for tanks) to have as little or no hull showing to as large an area as possible. Much harder to take out that way.

I agree. ALL maps need something like this. Also, some more tank turrets would be sweet as hell, if not required.

The map is 73 Eastings and yes these would be very helpful in defending positions instead of being completley out in the open like an ass you could actually have some sort of cover.

im the only person ive ever seen actually use those things in dc. I think there's too many n00bs.

I think the pillboxed idea is better. Then the mappers could put sandbags and camo around it. But yeh, some little dugouts for tanks to sit in would be great for defencive positions.

No no no. The hull down positions ought to be natural in the terrain, not some obvious pre-built "pillboxes". Those steppes on many maps are simply way too steep, so they don't allow realistic hull down positions.

not nessecarily a dig in, but at the very least, a mound or elevation change that blocks the view of your hull to enemy tanks.

Assuming I've understood the question properly (i.e. that you are talking about real hull down positions and not dug in tanks), I can't see any reason to complain. It's not hard to find hull down positions in FH, however it might be hard to find hd posititions where you're hd from all angles. However, a good tanker will have no problem getting hd positions in most (I dare not say all, for fear of flame from the sheep) maps. Hd positions can be found even in a map containing nothing but gently rolling hills, trust me. If properly combined with shoot and scoot tactics you should not have a problem. I don't like to blow my own horn, but I've never had any problem finding hd positions....oh...I nearly forgot :Party3:
