:) K if any one has ever played call of duty then u should like this. how about if ur a troop that u can open the tank hacht. then u can shoot like for the king tiger the 3. machine gunner and if u throw a nade in it will kill every one inside. But to make it fair the tank is one fire so it cant move but can shoot and mabe turn for the stug 34. Aslo to make it fair it would take 5 sec to open the hatch. It would realy good in the Amherham level:) P.s. Plz tell me ur thoughts about this idea 000468s13.jpg

true... mabe fh should add like if u press the up arrow button u lock the hacht and if u dont... Well u now

can't, they are probably going to add ammo switch code to tanks, and they need keys for that.

i like the idea. no not al the time hatches were close (even though it was pretty Fing dumb to do so) but i would have a turret gunner, driver, coax mg,and a commander postion. and dam it i want treads knocked off to simulate real combat agains tanks. that would force infantry to be around the tank for team work as tank=CRAP with out infantry support

i dont think it would work in the bf1942 engine even if the hatches were opened i climbed in the back of a hanomag that had its back open i could see a german driver i tryed shooting and nading him it didnt work

Ok... now here are the problems : 1. Impossible or very difficult to do with BF42 engine 2. Hatches were locked unless you were an idiot 3. To kill a tank, get a tank killing class you smurf 4. Do not refer to CoD if you want realism The summary : Pretty much a waste of time to code

recruit snynder antholgy apparently has openable hatches and what not, I have not tried it though. ( It require both expansions packs). However, I think I would rather see the work go into to other areas for FH. I suppose it could be kinda neat though depending on how it was implemented.

I have also suggested something simillar in the "Do you want locked vehicles?" thread. It would also be cool if the tanks at start were all with the hatch open and it would close as soon as you start its engine. Then you could lock it or leave it unlocked (but still closed) with those + and - keys (but in vehicles I've only see them being aplicable in arty spot views.... would this work in other things I'm not sure). Also you would only be able to get of the tank only after unlocking the hatch and which would take some time. This is all "would be cool and fun" and all but it is hard to code and maybe not even possible so it's quite low prioriity.
