Rain effect? Depends how it's done, from the look of the EoD one I would say not.

pvt. AllenEveryone would be, but DICE isn't leaving mods much field to add such effects, is it? I think that a little better than Battle of Foy-1945 snow is all we'll see in FH2.

Probablyt but the disadvantage of "real" rain/snowy maps is that all buildings have to be closed of (since else it would also snow inside and tha'ts weird). :(

Yes, also I don't see much interest in working on advanced weather effects in other games, best ones were programs simply stopping rain effect when entering buildings...

The buildings in Bf2 don't have to be completly sealed of to infantery in rainy maps. The devs of EOD2 seems to have somehow solved the 'inside weather' problem. In the following betatest vid from EOD2* you can see in the beginning that it is not raining inside the tent in which the American soldiers spawns. Also: on the official EOD forum there used to another betatest vid of this rainy night map called Lost in Vietnam Nights. It looks like this vid has been deleted due to its lower recording quality. This deleted vid not only showed that it wasn't raining inside the tent, but also in other buildings (including a guardtower) scattered around the map. So the proof has been given; in Bf2 building don't have to be closed on rain/snow maps.

That's very good news indeed, I hope FH devs will also work this out in FH2.

Intresting, I wonder how they did that and how system heavy it is (not).
