You would need a new motherboard. If you plugged the Barton into a system that only supported a 266FSB it would underclock the processor. And you should get a Barton 2500+. Because is a 3200+ in disguise, all you need to do is (on a new motherboard) set the FSB speed to 200Mhz. And with your new system you will need some PC3200 memory so that it would be sync'd with the processor bus for best performance.

As for the video card a 5900 Non-Ultra is a better deal at $200 then the 5700. And there is no performance increase between AGP 4x and 8x so don't worry yourself over that.

thx sirdude.. I upgraded my Motherboard and ram , and my XP 2500+ barton should be available this week, if not then the XP 2600+ barton, they are only 10$ price difference. by the way do i need extra cooling to overclock that puppy? or is stock fan/h-sink good enough?

hey check out albatron mother boards .. http://www.albatron.com.tw/ there new boards sapport everything you have or need great quality is second to asus and performs up there with em in every aspect cept the price. i am running a kx8v400 pro now the next move for me will be a amd 2700 for this chip i will run this board http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=13-170-112&catalog=22&manufactory=BROWSE&depa=1 sweet lil number and all the sites and reviews show it to be stable and a great performer and easy on the pocket :rock: :smokin:
