Played NorRes for the first time and loved it.I think it would be greatr to incorporate some of the ideas ino the full fh2 build. The skis and sleds got me thinking of the german gebirgsjagers and some slpine combat. The bf2sf grapling hook feature would sure be great.Imagine a squad of gebirgsjagers scaling a mountain Full gear rucksacks skis on their back.......wow i would love it. It would also open up a whole new "playing field) To my knowledge FH has never touched upon this topic....just imagine.......(It would also intro duce a few new weapons http://www.gebirgsjaeger.4mg.com/Gebirgs3.htm Its photo heavy.....hope im not breakin any rules gebirg-snow.jpggebirg-soldier-color3.jpgjaeger.jpgindex.jpg

The FH team cannot use content from official expansion packs, that includes features like the grappling hook. My guess is it could be used if it was done up from scratch but that sounds time consuming and I doubt they would spend the time.

Correct me if I'm wrong though.

They can just reverse engineer the coding.

OK even if there's no grappling hook, I'd love to see Gebirgsjager. In fact, a 10th mountain division map would be pretty nifty in any case; having a fight in snow-covered mountains would rock regardless. That's sort of one problem I've had with BF/FH so far; whenever there were hills/mountains, they always seemed to be around the terrain, rather than the actual fighting arena itself.

We should have these guys in, if for no other reason than to see Clint Eastwood mow them all down WITHOUT EVER RELOADING.

Oh and as a small aside, the Swiss army used to have those same goggles--they kept making them until very recently, apparently. Fold together and come in a small hinged metal case. I can get as many as I want for about $1 apiece. If you bug me sometime next year (when I get back from S. America), and pay for shipping, I'll be glad to pick up a few for anyone who wants one.

For what its worth I really like this idea!! I remember the days when playing 'Delta force' I liked the snow covered maps the best, but we must be patient lads, theres a desert war to be fought first.

I said it in a different thread. We modders are not aloud content from expansions/boosters but we can use bf2 content. All new features (Stuff not previously possible) IE: grappling hooks must be added to the defualt BF2 engine via patches. Therefore the content is added to EVERYONES bf2. not just SF. The hook its self however would need to be remodelled, as it is in the "mod" directory.

that doesnt make any sense because if that is true, DCX and BF1918 would be in violation of that (DCX has throwing knives and 1918 has bayonets). also, the expantion packs use the same game engine, so it can be coded.

I'd like to see skis as a deployable vehicle. Allied soldier, scaling a hill cautiously, Bren at the ready... .....SHOOOM!!....screaming German soldier zooms past....

100% agree. It would be awesome if there was a pure uphill infantry battle for a mountain.
