Here are some of my ideas that could make fh2 more realistic. One of the things that makes Bf vanilla unrealisctic is the map which u can open up anytime u feel like it. I think that only Officers or squad leader should have the map and for the hud no hud only the orders given from commader or squad leader should show up[ 3d map thing]. Also for altelery instead of having that giant circle on the map telling the commader were the squad leader wants altelery the squa leader should give kind like cordinates example look at hes map and A-38/42 or something like that. Sorry for my english.

I don't believe this is possible in the BF2 engine.

and for the hud no hud only the orders given from commader or squad leader should show up[ 3d map thing].

The Devs have already stated that at least crosshairs will be given. I am not sure but I think the amount of magazines remaining will be there. And I also doubt that they will keep the 3D map at all, it is entirely unrealistic.

I have no idea how artillery will work in FH2. I believe it will be similar to BF42's system of artillery, except instead of the scout spotting then running away the scout has to stay watching the target.

It's unrealistic if you ignore situational awareness, in the same way that crosshairs are unrealistic if you ignore hand-eye coordination. But ignoring the fact that you're stripped of these senses when playing a game makes the game less realistic overall, not more.

But the 3d map distance is much toned-down compared to BF2, for the reasons of invasiveness rather than "realism".

i don't think crosshairs are unrealistic, since one is trained, well, should know about where his weapon will hit, but a crosshair too "close" is indeed unrealistic.

also, maps are ok, a soldier should have the ability to glance through the battlefield and have a brief idea where he is.

I think crosshairs are unrealistic. Is it that hard to just use the center of your screen when you not using your ironsight.

When playing Project Reality I use the center of my screen as a guide and seems I am getting better and better the more I play.

Guys, ctz just used crosshairs as an example. We've already decided to keep the crosshairs and we're not going to change that, so please, keep the discussion about the topic and not about crosshairs. :)

You can draw a crosshair on some clear plastic tape and attach it to the center of your monitor.
