Roaming East;3438165*brace rifle in stomach or upper thigh holding it by the pistol grip and canting slightly to the right, depress magazine release paddle and pull mag from rifle with left hand, reinsert fresh magzine making sure to seat it straight, reach and flip charging handle to 90 degrees, pull handle all the way back and push up slightly to lock bolt open, slap charging handle with downward motion to close bolt and chamber round*
Never shot a G3. If I remember handling one I believe the Mag release and saftey are horibly placed? But why would you lock the charging handle all the way back with a fresh mag in it? Can't you just pull all the way to the rear and release?
Depends on the model. Most G3's had a magazine release that was like the AK's i.e. a paddel behind the magwell. The problem is that it doesnt 'eject' a magazine like in M16's and other arms and allow it to fall free, you have to manually pull it out and it IS snug. Its not TOTALLY necessay to lock the bolt back but as the weapon lacks a bolt hold open, after the last round you typically pull the bolt back and lock it since your hand is almost there anyway (reload the G3 in BF2 to witness this). You reload a new mag and then slap down on the handle to let the bolt slide and lock into place. If the bolt doesnt lock at full force, it has a habit of causing jams in the weapon.

I'm wondering if this proof will make the devs want to implement reloading between rounds of the M1 Garand ?
No they wont, its been to heavily ingrained in casual shooter fans and FPS players that garand=/=reload.
But, realism is realism. Stupid MOH devs messed everyone up.
realism is realism until it interferes with your preconceived 'knowledge'. IE. Guns recoil, Full Auto guns recoil more, thusly, the MP40 should be an inaccurate bullet hose over anything further than 10 ft. Prefunctory research will show that the MP40 had little felt recoil while firing but damned if every game that bills itself as realistic doesnt have that sumbitch hopping all over the sight picture. Same with the thompson (at least the 1928 with the forward grip)
we had already discussed about the automatic garand in an other topic a long time ago but i have never find video about it.
:naughty: i find 1, the useless automatic garand :D: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TBQrtzSdVDo&mode=related&search=
This ISNT about automatic Garands, read the topic. Thats not automatic, its bump fire. About the MP40, the recoil was minimum, but of couse, mostly every SMG was innacurate. Besides the PPSH42, and Sten. Also, note how short the barrel of the MP40 is. Also, the MP40 has an effective range of 100 Meters, so it cant be 10 ft.
