'[11PzG USMA2010'] I don't understand why 6 classes aren't in now. Battlegroup and Desert Combat both have them. If any of the mods need 'em, its good old Forgotten Hope.

because many maps dont even need 5. Sure they(6 or more classes) would be good for some maps, but, the more classes the more the need to be balanced againts the other 5 and there already maps with duplicate (dont even use full 5). I say wait until FH can do 7 or more classes to really tromp all the 6- class mods.(on the maps it would work for)

Why is it needed? 5 classes are too much on most maps. Some classes are just repeats of others. Dont give the devs anymore ideas of stuff we dont need...that always seems to get implimented first.

I.e with 6 we could perhaps add a class like Sapper for mines or even a Sniper class (all with class limitations of course) instead of some of those mine/sniper pickup kits.

terminal-strikeyea in those cases only 4 classes would be required.

The thing is: you can't change the number of classes per map. The number of classes is per mod

We will not implement the 6th class, unfortunately

Reason: You have to hard code the image the 6th class displays because battlefield will not parse more than 5 kit icons. In other words, we could have a 6th class, but it would have the same icon for every map. DC has just two armies, BG uses the same icons for all armies, we hace specific icons for each country, we can't implement the 6th class because we could just use a generic icon for both axis and allieds

hmmm maybe just use the space to put a little universal picture then. Make it non-clicable but just like a little picture. For example, the FH logo.
