Take Midway for example: those Zeros and Devastators flying around, you can hear them before they enter into the visiblity range. But when a B17 flies over your head, you don't hear it untill it already starts dropping bombs  . I've killed hundreds of planes with the ship's main guns, bacause i could hear them coming in advance.... but when a huge B17, that's at least 3 times the size and has 4 times as many engines, comes towards me, it kills me, cause i just never heard it trailing behind the ship at 10 meter altitude.... And it's not just the B17, it's other big planes too... Any intended fixes for this?
Noticed that too who would actually believe that a plane the size of most people's house comming flying towards you wouldn't be noticed although it has four engines making all the noise in the world...Thats f#cked up indeed...but on the other hand it adds to the surprise factor of this game
Yeah I consider this a serious problem. I wonder why it hasn't been adressed yet...
Yes. Aslo the hand wepons. U can be 4 yards away from some on but they cant hear u shooting. Thats an other problem ans same with jeep when they come up from behind.
Jap planes are WAY too annoyingly loud. Its a large disadvantage when flying with one because the enemy always knows where you are.
Bombers in general need to be a LOT louder. 4 huge engines isn't as loud as 1 Zero? Come on.
Yup- Even at 25,000 feet a single B17 makes enough noise to be heard from the ground. Even in "busy" urban Centres.
The Go-229 also suffers from this. The Me-262 is fairly loud and easy to hear, while the Go-229 is a jet so stealthy I heard the US air force is planning on replacing their F-117's with it
Add to the list the B-25 and BF-110. By the time you hear them they are directly overhead and have already released their bombs.
All planes are to quiet imo, you cant hear them till bullets are hitting all around you :/
Lol, ME-110 is just hilarious. You can't hear it coming until from like 20 meters :D The soundcoding needs so serious tweaking, with both ground and airforces.
