Attack marks? You mean the bloody irritating 3D map there is? Geesh, I hope all of it gets removed someday, tired of closing it each time I play. :p
yes i mean them , and no ,they are not anoying , they are usefull .
im all for removing 3d flag markets , but the attack market SHOULD be used as a orientation method for the squad , and will improve the cordination air/ground or armor/troops system , witch HIGHLY lacks FH2 .

I find the symbols very effective for ranging weapons or determining an area to strafe with a plane. With no in game visual references for distance, the SL markers are hugely important to me. I find it retarded not being able to see (the distance) far enough away to range my weapons. 1 or 2km distance does seem a little long but maybe the same view distance that the binoculars are capable of would be appropriate. I use the minimap big time to keep my bearings and for navigating roads and it would be massively improved with accurate references for distance. example: A sniper with the scope, ranges his target with binos and gets the one shot kill. or A rifleman ranges a manned emplacement, calculates for bullet drop and frags the bunker on his first rifle grenade shot. Range to contact is important info that we should be able to accurately relate to our squad members so they can better engage the opposing force.

Or, you could do it the way real snipers and spotters do it. 1. Laser rangefinders, if you can find any on FH2 maps I'll give you a cookie. 2. Triangulate the estimated height of a target to your optics and use the pythagorean theorem to work out the range to the target, then use your optics to compensate for bullet drop.
or devs could increse the distance of the markers to compensate the fact that in real life you can see more than 600 m away like in FH2 and that soldiers know the distance to their objetives coz they have already learned all about the mission they are about to do .

This sounds like a way of makeing those kill whoring flyboys more powerful. Now they can hit you without them even coming into rendering distance! Oh joy!
with the diference that it will require 2 or more people an will help to take flags since SL can mark an attack when needed .
