Some nice ideas came from RO3.3 changelog:

- Added new player momentum system. Players take a little time to accellerate to full speed and a little time to slow down. This is especially apparant when strafing as the player can no longer instantly change strafing directions. - Added new system for directional movement speed. The player will move slower while strafing and will move very slow while walking backwards.

A realistic way to reduce, but not eliminate "bunnymoves"? I think this sounds quite nice.....what do you think?

I am all for this. Anything to eliminate the hoppers/spraying-strafers.

If it can't be done in our engine now hopefully it can be done in BF2. Maybe there will even be a way to include terrain slippage. Say you're on wet grass and strafe left, then have to move to your right suddenly, you slip and fall. Same applies to ice etc.

I was just noticing how hard it is to lead with a rifle when the player seems to have no inertia. I just hope it doesn't feel like "ice skating." Best of luck in your experiment. May the gameplay be with you.
