Heres a new map suggestion: How about a japanese "what if"-map, similar to the Alpenfestung map. Lots of prototypes and new equipent. One could use the me262 and me163 models with japanese textures. The nakajima "kika" was pretty much an exact copy of the me262, and the japs also had a me163 copy. And one could implement the japanese type5 rifle from 1.5 patch. Make it a masisive assault map - a bit like iwo jima, lots of fortifications and NO possibilities to flank!! And no f*"*$)( island map!!! I just cant stand these island maps anymore.. Oh and by the way will we get a new jap against ussr map?? I know hailar was sort of crappy (actually only because of the supermario green textures) but the feel would be nice..

O K I N A W A Approx. 3 months of pure hell. Largest amphibious landing, massive kamikaze attacks, and suicidal resistance on the ground. I dunno about you, but this is the Japanese "Inselfestung" (island fortress) we should get.

but since we don't want another island map (believe me, I'm sick of them too) it should just be certain sector of the map like McGibs suggested for making multiple Iwo Jima maps.

There is very little in common with a Kikka and a Me-262 other than they both were twin jet engined fighters. The Kikka was based on drawings and descriptions of a Me-262 but without actual blueprints to go by.

There was to be a exact copy of the Me-262 built the Japanese lacked the technical expertise. The Kikka was the basic layout and idea of a Me-262 built to the technical ability of the Japanese aircraft industry. The Kikka would have been a bit smaller, lighter, had less powerful engines, and because of the less sophisticated and less advanced wing design was not as fast.

Sounds great.... Maybe the Japanese can have actual anti-tank on the map too.

@ManiK:

yeah, iwo jima was actually a lot bigger than that IRL. hell, ALL of the maps are way smaller than their real-life counterparts.

Like Wake? That island is barley 4 blocks in width, hell the small island is only about a block itself. How about an actual island instead of a crappy little sand bar.
