I have the following suggestion: Ingame, pilots can close the Ju 52 doors by pressing the airbrake key, however when the doors are closed, people can still jump out. I think that the succesrate of the axis team on this map would sowhat increase, if we denied people to jump out when the doors are closed, so they can truely rush a point instead of spreading out on the entire map. just a tought Cheers

I am not sure that would work. The door doesn't do anything because you can't move around in the plane while in flight. (Like you could in 0.7) If you do you die instantly. Unless they can code it so that you can't 'exit the vehicle. I think the door should just be closed all the time. However add a bright red light to the interior of the plane which goes green (signaling the paratroopers to jump) when you do hit the air brake. A loud buzzer noise would be a good touch too. This should be possible in the same way there is a siren on the Stuka. It would make it easier to fly, because you wouldn't need to keep your finger on a button until the end. And it makes sense to hit the air brake when you want them to jump to keep the paratroopers closer together.

I've been telling them about the door ever since we found out there is no possible ways to have walking inside the planes work properly that the door now serves nothing and is completely pointless. I think it just looks stupid to have the door open all the time, but the devs said it stays... for whatever silly reason... I'd be more in for a jump light and a buzz than the door flapping on and off whenever someone decides to keep pressing the button down repeatably.

Jump light would be rather nice, I must say. At least it would be easier for the pubbies to drop at the same area....

they should reverse it and have a jump light, make it closed by default, shift to open, cant they lock players in? thats one thing i hate about piloting them is people bail too soon.

I agree with "a guy"s suggestion. When the door is closed (didnt know until now how to close the door, were just to create a topic on this) people can't bail out of the plane, the pilot need to open the door, and a jumplight goes green. THEN they can jump

I hate it when I take time and effort to fly really high so that the bofors can't see my ju52 because I am above the clouds. but then everyone is so eager to get to the fighting that they jump right over the aerodrome, getting slaughtered by the bofors.

I hate when I'm the onlt guy who actually jumps on a good landing place while my plane-mates bail half-way over the ocean.

Usually without parachutes too. They then procede to call the game unrealistic, and wonder why there aren't paradropped Tiger tanks for them to drive.
