Gocad Therefore saying that all Engineers should get carbine-sized rifles makes no sense....

it has sense since the moment u have a engenier with an assault class rifle + explosives who wanna be assualt if we can be assault + having an expack?

That depends on whether you want to kill vehicles or infantry. No way is some guy going to wait 5 or 10 sec for a satchel to go off and kill him (once 0.65 is here), but you can heft one on the back of a vehicle, and it should stay ther long enough. The assault guy has grenades to deal with infantry.

SkipsterThat brings up an interesting point. With the Garand, you had to load a clip, reloading was not possible until out of ammo. How then, can there be a Garand sniper in game?

Check out the Garand sniper, the scope is mounted off to the left hand side of the rifle so that the clip can properly eject.

actually, i dont think we signed the first geneva convention...

either way, some shotguns would be useful where close quarters battle is often found. look at maps like iwo jima and wake. very close in battles. besides, switchable ammo between slugs (a solid lead round, very heavy) and buckshot (about 8 large balls used to hunt deer) should be included. one for clearing buildings and cqb, and one for penetrating the armor of the ha go.

Hey Patilla,

don't bother with a scope for you K98, I own one and i can hit milk jugs with it at 700 meters with iron sights. You can adjust elevation on the rear leaf sight for up to 2,000 meters. Don't waste your time with a scope.

FYI: While it's true that the sights of the K98 go that far, it's not meant for direct shooting...

Besides I would like to know how you intend to pick up a man-sized or even smaller targets at ranges greater than 400 meters without any scope or else.... :)

I popped a coke can from about 50 yards (I know, not too far) without a problem. If your K98 isn't a nice collectorish one then a scope might not be bad. Usaully it requires drilling, unless you get the 1 scope mount that doesnt require this. I think Blistex mentioned it?

I use a spotting scope

And yeah I know that that isn't really practical in an actual battle

you can hit a target about man sized at long ranges easily without a scope. i popped a silohuette at 450yd with my M14 without a scope. now, the problem is not hitting the target, its finding him.
