am i mistaking or was it not that the ghewher44(or what ever number it was) was used at the sniper of the germans at the beginning of the war?
If you mean the semi automatic G43, then it was not in existance at the beginning of the war. If you mean the WWI G98, then I'd imagine that lots were used due to it's longer barrel. But there is a scoped version of the G43 (and Stg44) planned for Normandy.
I somehow had a mad urge to snipe today. On Hyacinth I found a nice spot and blew away the Italians trying to get the sniper rifle on the tower.
I don't really understand this thread.
k disregard the first post i ment the G43. I got abit confused after looking at weapons. Was the Kar98ZF used as the mainstream sniper at the beginning of the war though?
Silly question but did y'all reduce accuracy of the scoped rifles? It feels like they now get useless at a point I used to be able to hit at.
(I forgot to check before I installed 2.15 on my laptop.)
No, not reduced, maybe increased alongside their non scoped bros, but don't quote me on this
They did changed the scope in 2.15 . Maybe your not used to it

The center post got thinner, right? Now we can actually see our targets as we smear his brains on the wall behind him!

The numbers can help you sorting the different types of weapons. The Kar98 (Karabiner 98, introduced in 1898) was the standart infantry rifle of the Wehrmacht since 1898. It is a bolt action rifle. This type was improved during the decades until world war 2. The G43 was introduced in 1943 and is a much more modern rifle. It is semi-automatic and an intermediate step between bolt action and automatic rifles like the Stg44 (introduced 1944) or later guns such as the AK47 (introduced 1947).
