Plus, the SL should stay behind as a mobile spawnpoint or he should advance in as the last person. When trying to stay a mobile spawnpoint you will just lead the units, spot enemy units, pop up smoke covers and be a bit behind. Not 200KM like the silly generals but 20 metres will do. But thats just the tactic I use.
codename:masterchief;4837997and those Mills bombs are so mighty powerfull...
Then again, we need 4-5 shots on the sides of a panzer with a 2 pounder, so it compensates for that =p I think the officer is fine for what he is now
Perhaps grappling hooks given to pickup sniper kits?
There's only a few around, and a grappling hook can allow for some funky new places or a new escape route.
For the Brit bayonet issue, I think that it's due to the knife-wielding kits using the Fairbane Stykes (spelling off) knife. It probably couldn't attach to the rifles. However it does raise a question to why brit rifle kits don't receive the bayonet.
I also wholeheartedly agree with point 2.
Ok, so I can see that my first idea has caused an outcry - not that I'm that suprised about it. Glad to see that my other suggestions have had a bit more love. I will say that I consider point 2 the most pressing issue.

The brit rifleman kits (both No1 & No4) have a fixed bayonet as the melee weapon; its the scout, engineer and pickup kits that have the FS knife. This is a moot point for the engineers though - hopefully they will get spatens and entrenching tools. =p
