if they leave the cockpit down, that just makes it that much easier to kill the pilot with a bullet. no bail for you!
They will have to basically jump out of the cockpit, which, trust me, will be hard.
They don't have to jump out - as long as they're technically "outside" the vehicle, the player who shot them down won't get a point - it will just be a "player is no more".
lol, as I was saying, they would have to jump out IF THEY WANTED TO LIVE!
Plus, doing all this and getting away will be hard, very hard, to pull off. It will be realistic, you will have to balence a striken plane, underfire, and get out, and then try to jump out and para before your plane hits the ground. Not easy.
i find this hard to believe that it can be stopped.
Getting kills is not as important as stopping the enemy.
Forget hte negative and look at the positive, you wont be the one CRASHING!!
I agree with xWing_21 and Wonder[FIN]. I say we drop the subject....
I still think that a cockpit 'lid' idea would still be rather nice, it prevents the guy from leaping out of a plane the exact moment before their plane explodes. And it was common practice among many armies for pilots to fly with the cockpit open until the enemy was detected, then they'd close up and go, you can dig around and find a lot of pictures of fighters and such flying around with open cockpits.
