The 13th RaptorWhy planes shouldnt be able to restock on pwnage® so easily, they should hafta land.. constant and complete air dominance is really annoying to us groundpounders, especially since those dedicated pilots have the static AA positions memorised and strafe them constantly, and mobile AA is crap, especially early war!

You took the words right out of my mouth :D

I would always vote for having to land to rearm or refuel. I for one even if I could just skim the runway, land most of the time. The bad thing about this is that there are other planes on the runway. In BF42 vanilla the Ju88 takes forever to slow to a stop. On BoB I came in for a perfect landing, I was sure I could make it on the runway I was aiming for. Suddenly a Ju88 starts to take off from that runway. I can't change course and we collide just after he lifts off, and right before my wheels touch down.

Now, to the point. On air maps like BoB and BtR the commander's job (BF2/FH2 of course) could be the "air traffic controller." With voice messaging he is very capable of doing this. He sees a plane taking off, he tells that airborne bomber to circle once more to make sure that the plane on the ground gets off the runway. As the bomber is touching down the commander sees another bomber taxiing to the runway. That bomber is told to hold position until there is a takeoff window.

That in my opinion would solve the crashing problems and mix-ups with planes trying to take off in a mad scramble at the start of a game. Smacktards of course will be annoyed at seeing their worst nightmare of good gameplay come true; however it is not their responsibility to fix it.

Give the planes working brakes and this will be a non-issue. I don't mind land as long as I can stop within a reasonable length.

brakes are a good idea, but a button for a landing gear would also become very handfull. since you can't add buttons but only replace them with a different function, you can make the flare button in BF2 a braking button in FH2. and since the FH2 Devs don't implant a nosecam you can make that button the landing gear button just some simple thoughts
