I am thinking about Installing Mandrakes Linux and I was looking around at www.transgaming.com and it looks like they can make linux support alot of games. I was wondering what makes Linux better than Windows and will it make my framerate better in games at all?

if you want to play games... why go with linux? Linux is meant more for a development and server based enviroment. All transgaming is talking about is a program called Wine (windows emulator). If you're just a gamer, windows is a better os to use for best compatibility. If you've never used linux before and plan on making this permanent.. you're going to have some headaches with configuring some games that aren't 100% compatible.
