This might sound like a weird sugestion but i will post it anyway. This might not even be possible in BF2 but what i was thinking is that, when loading a map a movie of historical footage could play depending on the map or the theatre of war, like if its africa campaigne the footage should be of africa. I think that this would be nice to have if possible because it becomes very boring watching a loading bar go, so if there were something to look at it would make it more barable to wait to play the best mod ever. What do you guys think?
I'm pretty sure that's impossible, and even if it wasn't, it'd probably be too resource consuming.
Well yes i thought it was probably not possible, and yes it would take mroe time now, but i thought maybe that this could be worked on later, not for the first few realeases but later on when the basics are finished.
Still impossible, hardly any game, even the latest ones have movies playing during loading times. You'll often have to be satisfied with some bits of texts & images. Be glad in FH the devs take time to also give you some appropriate stuff for the map loading. (A Map of the area, photos, briefing, etc.)
Yeah, although there is a good chance it can be done, it will definately affect the load time. And, after seeing the videoclip 5 times or so, you would get tired of it...
well i guess so, i did like the pics and what not on the loading in FH0.7, but u also get tired of seeing the same pics over and over again aswell.

I agree. Much better to stay with maps an pictures during load, and some cool music..
Silent Heroes mod for BF42 had videos playing while loading a map.
How about some info on the battle, like acounts and a brief history of it?
Maybe take up smoking.... Thats a great time to go outside and get one...
