I'm not sure whether this can be implemented onto the BF2 engine even without causing much lag but wouldn't it be great if you looked down and you can see your own chest and legs.

Another thing is when you are crawling I'd also like to see your arms moving in front of the screen similar to Red Orchestra: Ostfront. In BF2 when crawling the weapon is always constantly held straight even when your aiming down the sights. Very unrealistic.

:uhm:

It could work. But Fh is not so much about realism. Fh is about historical accuracy. Ultra realism can wait.

it would perhaps make lag the game ...

Use the "pause button" and you will see that infact at the 1st person view, you have only your 2 arms. It save polys ...

I'd love it. Seeing hair in front of your eyes (not obstructively, of course), your hand at the control stick while flying a plane, and so on.

It adds so much to immersion to play as a living person, not as a ghost without a body.

It could work. But Fh is not so much about realism. Fh is about historical accuracy. Ultra realism can wait.

[Puts on Ring of Sarcasm] And historical accuracy is just so unrealistic.

As far as I know creating such a perspective in realistic and bug-less way is very tricky and requires quite alot of time to get to work good. Very little ammount of companys wich have control over the engine itself decide for doing this not speaking of modifications. I've seen it in Operation Flashpoint, The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay and F.E.A.R. and that would be it. All of those games are high budget productions, or unless their devs are real proffesionals.

From my experience from mentioned games, mostly Ofp and Riddick, it realy, and I mean realy adds to the immersion, realism and atmosphere. Looks cool and feels like you're actaully there.

Sounds like work done; for very little added substance, to be honest.
