Unkn0wn;3472567Would still depend since a gunner in Berlin would probably be from the Volksturm and might be wearing recycled or older equipment since there was a large shortage. And I can imagine the production of Walther p38s wasnt that massive.

More then 1.200,000 Walther P38's where produced. And 4.000,000 Parabellum P08 "Lugers" where produced.

So aside from placing it depending on the setting of the map it should also fit in the context of the person using it ;)

That seems like a logical thing to me, no? :)

From what I understand, very late war Volkssturm units pretty much wielded whatever was unloaded off the back of a truck.

I read an account a while ago from someone describing a pretty mixed bag of Italian, French, Russian and other rifles dumped from a transport by a bunch of wehrmacht regulars -- the idea being, "here's a bunch of guns we rustled up, here's a bunch of ammo, the Russians are coming, figure it out. NEXT."
