Hello everyone, I know this tank has been mentioned previously in the wishlist for 7.0, but i didnt see that it had been included. So i was wondering if there were plans to include it in a later patch. I have fallen in love with this tank while i was working on it, and would love to see it included in FH. If you need any pictures, inside or outside, ill be more than happy to run down to the motorpool and take some.

Thank you =)

no new tanks will probably be added to FH1 considering that FH .7 was the last BF1942 version, but it may make an appearance in FH2, who knows.

I'm 99% sure that there will be no 0.71 patch. All the devs are now working very hard on FH2.

Sorry mate, but it won't be in Forgotten Hope 1942. 0.7 was the last release for Battelfield 1942, but you may see it in FH2 eventually.

I was too also hoping to see it in the last release of Fh42 but now we must wait till FH2 comes out which i dont believe the M24 saw action in the african as i believe they appeared in europe in battle of the buldge yes? im not 100% sure on that, so we'll have to wait till they cover an european theater (did it see battle in the pacific?)

It was a late war tank, so yeah, not in Africa. I belive its first combat was in the Battle of the Bulge.

Not sure if it saw action in the Pacific. I know, for whatever reason (probably mobility), the M26 Pershing did see action in the Pacific on Okinawa. I can just imagine an action between this tank and a Ha Go or Chi Ha.

http://www.btinternet.com/~ian.a.paterson/equiparmourtanks.htm just scroll down the page for some information about the tank. As the African front is being done first i believe tanks, and other equipment should be done first like the American M4 or M3 lee/ grant or the M5A1 stuart or the British Crusader with the 6lb gun (MK3?) Germans need there new Mk4 Tanks to be redone so, i do agree that this tank should be on maps like Alpenstun, or Botb, but lets just get the African theater outa the way first.

The M4 Grant/Lee is a must have for both the British and the Americans. The M5 Stuart wasn't in service until 1944, but would be cool for post-invasion maps. The Crusader Mk. III is the one armed with a QF 6 pounder. It actually should have been in FH42 a while ago, as it would have helped the British in a huge way.

The M5 Stuart first saw combat during Torch, along with the M3/M3A1 Stuart, the latter saw no combat use with the Americans outside of Africa in the Western Theatre of Operations. The M3/M3A1 Stuart did of course see service in the Pacific until the war's end. IIRC the M5/M5A1 didn't see much service in the Pacific.
