Im not totally sure the soviets used the m3, but it kinda reminds me of the japanese wespe. I believe the russians main armour personnel carrier was the BTR-152V1. btr152v-1.jpg Of course a DSHK would go nicely with it as well.

My sources say BTR 152 was introduced after WW2 in 1946 but was not put into large scale production until 1950.

The Russians were major users of M3 Scout cars and M5 halftracks.

From 1941-1943 the Soviets had no real APC's. They used whatever was available, be it trucks or Komsomlets(sp?) tractors.

If you want a pure Russian APC since most Russian fans seem offended to have to use lend lease equipment the closest thing was the Russians used stripped down and gutted BA-10 and BA-32 Armored cars. Also I have seen pics of BA-64's used as APC's.

My data says the Soviets recieved around 900 M3 Halftracks, 3100 M3 Scoutcars, and about 2300 lend lease Bren gun carriers.

Come on, give us a break. These will be phased out sooner or later, but there are some more important matters to attend. After all they did use them.

yes forgot to mention in my post "not high priority by any means." but original post accidently erased. I thought the current M5 was place holder but thanks to anlushac's greater knowledge I am now enlightened. :faq:

How about making the M3 Halftracks worth driving? They are so top heavy if you happen to turn while on a slight incline you tip over. The handling is terrible, I can't think of a worse vehicle to drive in this entire game.

Leave the M3s for the Russians. They used a lot of them. The two truely usefull things the Americans gave the Russians were the Studabaker truck and the M3 and M5s
