Machineguns (MG) are split into two kits right now - deployable with mines and a pisol: the other is a a machine gun which is hand held and it comes with a knife. The one problem I have with this - unrealistic. THE IDEA: Simply merge the two kits - BINGO! THE NEW KIT Knife Pistol Deployable MG "Hand-held" MG Essentially, you would have two machineguns, but you would only be able to use one at a time therefore it would feel like you had just one. That way the deployable MG could be used in the open, and the "hand-held" MG could be used when you're walking or when you're in a building - just like real machineguns. Naturally, the graphics/magazine capacity would need to be changed since the hand held MG has a saddle magazine and 75 rounds (MG42, MG34) and the deployable has a belt with 250 rounds (MG42, 30cal, WZ29, and MG34). Also, the 30cal would now have to have a hand held version - YES IT COULD BE FIRED HANDHELD! Usually on a window or something... but who cares about the details!
Swellick... but who cares about the details![/size]
And remove the pistol from your suggestion, normal mg gunners didnt have pistols.
Sure they did. Some American MG gunners were issued M1 carbines instead of Colts.
Two MGs one Dployable and one handheld. A bit over powered don't you think.

THIS is why I brought up my deployable-only suggestion a few threads down. The machine guns are not being used correctly by the general players! And this guy wants more... How about also suggesting the kit come with 2 extra bots to help you carry all that stuff (like real machine gun crews did).
You want my opinion? Errr.... no. (for what it's worth)
I believe I see what he is saying. Taking a tripod with all the MG kits. Have the ability to fire on the run with the MG, then lay out the tripod and put the mg on it and fire away.
But he wants the non-deployable version so he can run n' gun and clear houses.
You realize that, in real life, you could run n' gun with mgs? The germans even trained, and do train to this day, proper handling precedure while on the move, and standing
