Neighbor KidI really hate people who do that, they see you waiting there but it spawns and there in it.=|

Heh, I bet more people hate plane/vehicle campers and do that on purpose :D

GauntletU cant have tank-friendly-only-maps. I dont think it will suit the overall public gamer...not everyone likes driving a tank....especially if it involves waiting 5 minutes for a tank too spawn, then too be snatched by a noobish player that just ran past you....

I dont like overall pub gamers... lol.. I wanna play against seasoned tank-driving professionals who want to play in a big, open battlefield tank battle :p

Dee-Jaý After all, Kursk was the largest tank-bvattle in history and yet the map itself dosn´t have a very epic feel to it.

Tell me about it. Kursk should be all out war with as many tanks as you can fit in a map without it affecting frame rates to badly.

Same with El Alamain which also should have a night version of it.

I was really hoping for the Kursk maps to be in .66. But by judging from the screenies, they didn't look that good afterall with the draw distance being around 50 meters.

Stalin was intent on attacking the Germans in a pre-emptive strike but General Zhukov insisted on letting the Germans attack first and wearing themselves down on the defenses he had planned. These defenses were of a scale never seen before for a battle and the Russians immediately put the military and 300,000 of the local civilian population to work laying a massive array of tank traps, minefields, anti-tank guns and dug in tanks and other defensive positions in anticipation of the German attack. The minefields were specially designed to channel the armored formations into dug in antitank defenses and it was hoped that the Germans would burn themselves out trying to break through the defenses Heres some info on Kursk: http://zhukov.mitsi.com/Kursk.htm and http://dspace.dial.pipex.com/town/avenue/vy75/ Details on the terrain around Prokhorovka can be found here: http://dspace.dial.pipex.com/town/avenue/vy75/terrain.htm (FHs version seems rather hilly) Images: font> <font face=[img]http://dspace.dial.pipex.com/town/avenue/vy75/pictures/kursk.jpg"> PzinRus2.jpg Kursk4.jpg pzinruss.jpg sapper_2.jpg Artwork: 806105.jpg kursk.jpg Now when you look at all these images you don´t really feel that FH got it right. The Terrain is to hilly and empty. You arn´t ever really penetrating any defences or similar, just capping flags spread out somewhere across the map. I believe Prokhorovka should look more like Tobruk, just much larger and better.

Anlushac11Prokhorovka has lots of open spaces and represents one of the engagements at the Battle of Kursk.

Sector 318 is US versus Germans and has lots of open spaces and lots of tank combat.

what battle or location sector 318 represents?

north of france? metz and nancy? or germany?
