I have a couple of suggestions and points, again for this map. -Let me start off with the fact that there are too many planes for the allied team, they never stop spawning no matter how many are in the air, or there are just a whole lot spawning. This causes the allied team to have very few people attacking by foot. -The allied ships, please remove the POW untill the AA-used-on-land-causes-massive-lag thing is fixed, please. Having to warn people and then kick them if they dont listen is getting very tiresome. Put a destroyer in its place please. -Defgun coverage is lacking, the north(or south?) of the island where the axis airstrip lies has NO cover at all. An allied destroyer parked off the coast can kill the torpedo boats/planes as they spawn while the marines attack the point without pausing, since their spawnpoint is as good as indestructable. -The axis forces need more AA, set up in effective places, increase the amount by about 60%, the Allied corsair have no problem taking these things out whenevr they spawn. -Redo or remove the map, the island is so narrow its rediculous, and it looks like crap, sad to say. Force the allies to attack where they did during wwII, instead of having landingcraft landing ALL over the place.. These suggestions should make the action more concentrated, instead of what its now, the gameplay is seriously lacking.

lol, I read this as "Makin' (making) Suggestions." I was about to ask what map you were suggesting changing. :P I agree with all the above said points. I agree the gameplay on that map leaves something to be desired. If you do anything, at least limit the amount of planes!

I agree with most...has potential to be a fantastic map with diverse things to do, but as it is, it remains plagued. Only remains playable due to the multi-person flag cap at east flag and because i play on a server where teams can actually coordinate every now and then.

Agreed...

Except i think they already have a destroyer...no reason to give them 2. Keep the POW to maps such as Rhienboring or whatever. I dont see much of a need for it. Its like b17's and is just to big to be used correctly.

IIRC doesnt the game also lag when someone brings the POW close to shore and rakes a spawn with the AA guns and 14" guns?

If not for gameplay the Prince of Whales should be removed from all maps but Rheinuebung for historical accuracy, since it was sunk by Japanese Torpedo Bombers in December of 1941.

Time to revisit Makin! I played last night and more def gun coverage is definately needed in the north spawn. The destroyer can park right off the west side and pound this point. No way to even get a chance to defend against this.
