Yeah, you can modify the shells and remove the damage physics, wouldn't mind it. It's for atmosphere after all.. I think XWWII uses a custom object that works like a vehicle. It has a standardmesh of a shell, but a mass of a vehicle, and a large splash damage. But the planes flying over.. is a complete coding mystery to me.

Mines! all D-Day landing maps (especially omaha) need mines and random explosions! it'd be cool, hard yes....but very atmospheric. At the moment its so quiet, hard to believe so many people died there when you can hear a pin drop. It just isnt right.

i absolutely agree Ply3r_17,Omaha Beach is a great map to play,it's a real beauty but what i really dislike about it is that the map is so damn quiet so the atmosphere doesn't really come up.And that's really a pity because as i said the map was designed really greatly! And yeah, the map needs mines! How about a "mine-detector" class for Omaha? MOH:AA includes that too in the multiplayer. The atmosphere would get much better through this issue. So any of the developers ever considered this point? I would welcome the simulated planes aswell on certain maps like Berlin or Crete.

they probally took FHs code from the planes in Philipnes map and Wake (those that lfy around in air)

with the player flying planes being shot down in Crete 95% of the time it would add in some cooler looking air drops, and would look great for screenshots. The biggest prob I see is for planes, people would be runing into the planes all the time as they dogfight, and the hole point of BF is lost in that not all things are usable by the player anymore.

why do you guys think this would lag so much when all it really is is a few polygons occasionally flying by?

Oh! about the shells of Omaha, make the ones that hit the sea explode so that LPC's have a bigger risk, land ones can do no damage what-so-ever.
